Ms Edwards's now uses Google Apps In Education. A class site serves as the focus point and students create and collaborate with each other and the teacher using Google Docs.  Learn more here.

This project is still discussed by the students involved, over two years later. I thank the wonder Mrs. Trefz for the opportunity to work with her and her students. It was a positive experience for all.
